Americalist, the direct mail division of parent company Haines & Company, Inc., has officially changed its name to Haines Direct.
The new name better reflects the company’s long tradition of serving the direct marketing needs of businesses, nonprofit organizations and government agencies, according to Jim Countryman, executive vice president of Haines & Company, Inc.
Haines & Company published its first Criss+Cross directory in 1932 in Canton, Ohio, and today provides information products nationwide.
“As our list of services and capabilities has progressed over the years, we felt it was time to update the Americalist name to better reflect who we are,” Countryman said. “We also wanted a name that recognized the history and reputation of our company as a whole.”
Established in 1970, Americalist provided customers nationwide with single-source direct mail services: custom marketing strategies; consumer, business, new mover and specialty mailing/calling lists; graphic design and copywriting; laser, offset and variable data digital printing; lettershop; and database maintenance services.
Under our new name, customers will receive the same suite of marketing services and direct mail expertise that customers have come to expect the last 43 years while operating as Americalist, according to Countryman.
Haines Direct also includes the company’s fundraising division, which serves nonprofit health organizations, colleges, gospel missions, food pantries, youth service organizations, and other clients nationwide.
